The official launch of the partnership between Midlands Co-operative Society and the MND Association took place in Raunds, Northamptonshire in February. Northants county cricketers Lee Daggett and David Sales helped launch the new partnership.
To date, the partnership has raised over £200,000.
Mike Sayer and Mark Byassare, are designing and constructing from scratch, a self-sufficient carbon fibre pedal-powered boat and will pedal it from the harbour of La Gomera in the Canary Isles, 3000 miles west to Barbados, they are aiming to riase £250,000 to be split between the MND Association and Make A Wish foundation.

The SAS Group is a major UK and international provider of managed network and communications infrastructure services, as well as being one of the largest distributors of BT products and services. We build, manage and support IP-based solutions for networking, unified communications, WAN infrastructure, mobility, security and disaster recovery.
To date the partnership has raised over £28,000
Denmans Electrical Wholesalers Ltd have been supporting the supporting the Association since March 2010, following the news that an employee had been diagnosed with MND.
Denmans Electrical Wholesalers Ltd have set a target to raise £20,000 for MND Association during the partnership and have a host of events planned.
