Majestic Wine Warehouses nominated us as their Charity of the Year for 2006 and set themselves a fundraising target of £40,000, eventually raising more than £53,000!
Majestic Wine Warehouses is the UK's biggest retailer specialising in sales of wine by the mixed case, with 129 stores throughout the UK.
How did they do it?
Bespoke collecting tins were designed for Majestic and distributed to its stores across the country for use throughout the year. They also introduced an online donation facility to allow customers to make a donation to the MND Association along with their wine purchases. Customers were also invited to some charity wine tasting events during the year.
Majestic staff were also encouraged to help by getting involved in raffles and other fundraising initiatives.
