Mobile Phone and Printer Cartridge Recycling

In the UK alone we replace 15 million mobile phone handsets every year. Fewer than 10% are recycled with an estimated 100 million being left to gather dust in people's drawers.

You and your company can help!

Mobile phone handsets and printer cartridges can be refurbished or recycled, which is good news for the environment and good news for the MND Association! For every mobile phone you collect and recycle through our scheme we will receive £3.50 and 70p per cartridge regardless of the condition.

You can collect ...

  • company issue mobile phones
  • personal mobiles and cartridges from you colleagues
  • mobiles and cartridges from friends, family and neighbours.

You can now donate your phone on the internet!

Donating your unwanted mobile phone on the internet is simple, visit www.shpforcharity.co.uk. Follow the instructions to have your phone valued, and then choose a percentage of this valuation to donate to the MND Association. This way of donating phones is ideal if you have a phone which might be worth a lot more than £3.50.

How to do it

Simply set up collection points and invite colleagues via posters, email or the intranet to drop off their redundant mobiles and empty cartridges. When you have collected at least 20, contact the MND Association Corporate Fundraising Team to arrange for a free courier to pick them up.

Alternatively, phones and cartridges may be sent using our freepost envelopes, which are useful to hand out or send to people you don't see as often.

For a supply of bags or to arrange a collection please call the Corporate Fundraising team on 01604 611888 or email corporate@mndassociation.org.
