Attendance Allowance and Disability Living Allowance Information Bill

Anne Main MP introduced a Bill in June which would have required any medical practitioner who diagnoses a terminal illness to give the patient information about his entitlement to make a claim and the appropriate forms.
It has been estimated by a report from Macmillan Cancer Research that more than £100 million over a six-month period went unclaimed in disability benefits. Also three quarters of patients were given no information on financial benefits by the NHS or anyone else.

Unfortunatley the Bill was defeated.
