End-of-Life Care Strategy/ Board

At the end of January 2007, an advisory board was set up to support the development of the end-of-life care strategy for adults. It will provide advice on the strategy, which will ensure choice, quality of care, equity of access and value for money for people across England.
Working groups will make recommendations on a number of specific areas. The working groups will include: measuring the quality of care; the care pathway for someone approaching the end of life and the services required to meet their needs; care homes; analysis and stronger commissioning of services; and workforce and development.
