Every year millions of new mobile phones are purchased and millions of old mobile phones are discarded. At best these phones lie forgotten in drawers and cupboards and at worst they are thrown away and end up in landfill sites where they can release harmful substances into the earth.
The Good News...
A whole new industry has grown around collecting and recycling old mobile phones. The MND Association has recently launched its own mobile phone recycling scheme, which means you can now do your bit for the environment at the same time as raising funds for the MND Association. For every phone recycled using our mobile phone recycling envelopes we will receive £3.50!
How can I do it?
Simply contact the MND Association and ask for a supply of freepost mobile phone recycling envelopes. Then put your old mobile in the envelope (without the SIM card), seal the envelope and pop it in the post. It really is as simple as that!
