The Arctic region is one of breathtaking beauty, a world of white, dotted with dense green pine forests under broad sweeping skies. This is your chance to sample it in truly traditional circumstances – your own team of huskies with you at the helm! Imagine trekking across this spellbinding region using a mode of transport that has barely changed for centuries. .
The route
Your way of life during this exhilarating challenge will be as pure and simple as your surroundings. Forget electricity and central heating - oil lamps, candles and roaring log fires will be the things to bring you warmth and comfort in our back-to-basics lodgings.
As you lead your team of dogs and ‘mush’ across the frozen wilderness, you might catch glimpses of reindeer, moose and mountain foxes. While the scenery is stunning, the skies of the Arctic can be utterly mesmerising you may be lucky enough to witness the bewitching spectacle of the Aurora Borealis. The Northern Lights illuminate the sky with nature’s very own moving magical light show.
