London to Reims Champayne Cycle Challenge photo 2008 This is the perfect challenge for a long weekend cycling from London to the heart of champagne capital of the world, Reims.

Rich in culture, history and cuisine the Champagne-Ardenne region is one of the most fascinating areas of France. Travelling 410km, (over 250 miles) this challenge tales you through cities, sleepy villages and undulating countryside.

It is not only champagne that delights the palate, the region is renowned for local gastronomic delicacies such as Jombon der Ardennes (Ardenne Ham) or if you are feeling adventerous, Pied do Porc (pigs' trotters)!

The Challenge

Reims Champagne Cycle Challenge This long weekend challenge starts at Crystal Palace and finishes in the capital of the champagne district, Reims. You will cover approx. 410km (255 miles) over 4 days.

From the streets of Southeast London our route opens out into the beautiful English countryside, heading towards the port of Newhaven. Crossing to Dieppe we hotel overnight before setting off through typical French villages, with the chance to relax in the pisturesque Gournay en Bray in the evening.

Where better to cross the finish line than outside the famous Notre Dame Cathedral, where we can celebtrate our sparkling achievement with a glass of the regions finest wine!
