How do I Apply?
Charity 'Golden Bond' Places
To obtain one of our places, we ask for a a non-refundable registration fee of £44 and a pledge from you to raise at least £395. Please contact the Fundraising Team with your name, address and telephone number and we will send you a registration form (subject to availability). Note that you need your own email address to register.
Own Place
If you already have a place, please take the time to let us know so that we can register you and welcome you into the team!
What Support Will I Get?
As being part of one of our valued teams, you will receive:
- A running vest/T-shirt
- Fundraising materials, i.e. sponsor forms
- A newsletter filled with updates and fundraising information
- An invitation for you and guests to attend our post race reception on the day.
Applications for 2011
To maximise the number of people that can run for us, we ask that you try to obtain your 'Own Place' directly through the organisers' ballot before applying for one of our Charity 'Golden Bond' places. The Great North Run ballot opens to the public in January every year, visit the Great Run website
If unsuccessful in the main ballot, you can then apply for one of our Golden Bond places. We will ask you to complete a registration form including a non-refundable registration fee and agree to a minimum pledge, which will be confirmed nearer the time. We will also need you to complete an online form to confirm your place with the event organiser.
