PLEASE REMEMBER PEOPLE WITH MND IN YOUR WILL

Making a Will is an important way to secure, first and foremost, the future of your family and friends and to make known your wishes to those you leave behind.

After providing for family and friends, including a donation to the MND Association in your Will (a legacy) is a tremendous and thoughtful way of supporting our work; very straightforward to arrange and is exempt from inheritance tax.

LEGACIES PROVIDE OVER A THIRD OF OUR ANNUAL INCOME. Their importance cannot be emphasised enough

Legacies of all values are essential in maintaining the firm financial base that supports our range of services for those living with MND, their families and carers. They also make a major contribution to the funding of major research programmes that will hopefully one day find a cure for MND.

Rick Kingsley's story

Rick Kingsley from Croydon has never personally been touched by MND. Yet he chose to make a gift to the MND Association in his Will after watching a TV report on MND.
He says: "I wanted to leave money to a cause that would alleviate suffering and make a real difference to people's lives.
Rick Kingsley
"When I saw the devastating effects of MND, I knew I had to do something to help. MND is a terrible illness, which people face with great bravery.

"I hope my legacy will fund research into a cure and help provide the care and support that people with MND need"

YOU ARE KEY IN HELPING CONTINUE OUR WORK

Rick’s and your valuable gifts will form a key part of the Association’s long-term income and help to ensure we can continue our vital work:

FREE INFORMATION PACK

We understand that decisions surrounding Wills and legacies are not taken lightly. So we would be delighted to send you a copy of our Legacy Information Pack. It illustrates the range of services your legacy would help to support; the real difference your donation would make to the lives of those living with MND, and the hope it would help to bring for future generations.

The pack also describes in easy stages how to go about making or updating your Will and clearly explains the different types of legacy from which you can choose. If you wish, we can now record your legacy in an MND Association Tribute Fund.

Further online information is also available in the section: How to leave a gift in your Will
