"...it was all about doing something that would make a difference."
Why did we do a sponsored bike ride? Well, for me personally, it was all about doing something that would make a difference.

This became the case after someone I know being diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease.
So I discussed the matter with one of my friends, Felix, who turned round and said something like "I know boy, we should do a bike ride". I immediately thought this to be a good idea so we set about doing it - Felix asking other friends to join in, (two of whom, Oliver and Laura, did) and me getting in touch with the MND Association for sponsor sheets and fundraising T-shirts. All that was left to do was to set a date, which we soon decided would be Easter Sunday.

The 50-mile run didn't turn out to be particularly easy for four non-regular cyclists, but we plodded on with the thought that what we were doing was going to make a difference.

Raising £819.55, it certainly turned out to be worthwhile. A lot of credit is due to the MND Association because, unlike some charities, the Association seems to be extremely appreciative and supportive when someone wants to do something to help - thank you.
