Personal mobility and movement
MND affects people in different ways, but it is likely you will experience some form of physical disability. This will affect movement and mobility, although the rate of progression can vary widely.
You may require specialist equipment such as grab rails, walking aids or a wheelchair. There are many options for aids and many suppliers, so an independent assessment of your needs is strongly advised before making any decisions, even if you are making a private purchase.
An assessment will be necessary for any item supplied by statutory services, or for equipment loan or financial support from the MND Association.
