Motoring
People who have been diagnosed with MND, have a duty to notify the DVLA of their condition. A diagnosis is not a bar to driving, but the DVLA may ask for a medical assessment. The DVLA may issue a time restrictive licence and/or may ask you to attend a driving assessment. This largely depends on information provided by your GP about how your condition is affecting you.
The publications listed below provide further advice on driving following diagnosis, vehicle choice and adaptations and general transport considerations.
