South West Wales Branch provides support and information to people affected by MND in South West Wales Region, (includes Bridgend, Neath Port Talbot, Swansea, Carmarthenshire, Pembrokeshire and South Ceredigion). We hold a number of social and fundraising events throughout the year.

 

Fundraising Events

A Charity Moped Ride Around Britain

Gary Baxter and his friend Barrie Davies will be riding around Britain on Honda 90s, to raise funds for MND and Crossroads.
The ride starts from Kidwelly on Friday, 9 May and will take them around Britain, a distance of approximately 2,500 miles, over a period of 10 days.

An Evening of Light Entertainment

An evening of light entertainment will take place on Saturday, 5 April at 7.30pm in the Carolton Suite, The Diplomat Hotel, Llanelli. Tickets £5, available on the door or from Maimie Davis on 01554 777993.

Want to make a difference?

Volunteers play an important role in the MND Association. The South West Wales Branch is looking for more volunteers to get involved to help ensure that people with MND and their families receive the support and services they need.

We are currently wishing to recruit not only a Branch Chairman, but a few more volunteers to help with things like raising awareness, helping at fundraising events, public speaking, writing a newsletter and building a website.

Basically your time commitment can be as much, or as little as you can spare, depending on the role you undertake. If you can help in any way, please do contact Maimie, Lesley or Glynne for a chat. The more volunteers we have, the more support we can provide for people with MND, their families and carers.
