Swine Flu - update
April 2010
Swine flu
The national online and telephone pandemic flu service, set up to offer assessments for people worried that they might have swine flu has closed. This is due to a decline in the number of reported cases of swine flu.
People living with MND are still advised to contact their GP for advice if they are experiencing flu-like symptoms. This is because they are more at risk of complications and need to start taking antivirals as soon as it is confirmed that they have the illness.
Doctors may advise some high-risk patients to take antivirals before they have symptoms, if someone close to them has swine flu.
