Online diaries

We have asked three delegates attending the 17th International Symposium on ALS/MND to record their thoughts as online diaries or 'Weblogs', as they prepare for and attend the meeting.

We hope that their entries will give a feeling for what it is like to attend the meeting, gossip and network with their friends and colleagues and take home some new ideas that they can put into practice in the future.

As you will see from their biographies Mary, Dan and Alison are all working on different aspects of research into, and clinical management of MND

Mary O'Brien

Before taking up her present appointment as Research Fellow at Edge Hill University, Lancashire, Mary was an MND specialist nurse.

Dan Blackburn

Dr Daniel Blackburn (MB) started his present position as a Clinical Research Fellow in Sheffield in April 2005.

Alison Stevenson

Now in the final year of her MND Association-funded PhD, this will be Alison’s first International Symposium.
