Research Grants
Realising our vision of A World Free of MND means investing in research into the causes, treatments and prevention of MND.
The next grant round is for Research Project Grants. The deadline date for summary applications is 24 October 2008.
The following areas of research will be supported:-
Funding research of the highest scientific merit and greatest clinical or translational relevance to MND.
An effective means of attracting promising science graduates to develop a career in MND-related research.
Supporting the laboratory or clinical-based research training of medically qualified applicants.
Building evidence to support our Clinical Guidelines, thus improving quality of care for people affected by MND. (Not currently inviting applications)

Maintaining standards in research funding
The Association only supports research from bona fide research institutes. We are a member of the Association of Medical Research Charities (AMRC) - a membership oraganisation of the leading medical and health research charities in the UK. We comply with the AMRC Best Practice Guidelines (467 kb) on funding research.
