Clinical research fellowships
Description:
In order to fast-track promising new treatments from lab to clinic, we need to attract and train a new generation of the best young clinicians in scientific principles and practice. We will recruit registrar-level neurologists to conduct laboratory and clinical research projects. Not only will vital scientific research be conducted, but these individuals will also be taken through a pivotal stage in becoming the leaders in their respective fields and we will develop a ‘critical mass’ of expertise, within the UK.
The Medical Research Council will jointly fund with us three levels of clinical research fellowships, costing variable amounts over up to five years.
£1 million has already been raised from a personal donation made by the Wolfson family to create the Lady Edith Wolfson Research Fellowships.
If you, your company or trust were to make a major donation to one or more of these research projects, we would happily discuss any wishes you might have as to what you would like the project/s to be named.
