DNA Bank Sponsorship

Description:

The most ambitious research project initiated by the MND Association has been the establishment of a DNA Bank and Clinical Database, to provide a world-class source of DNA samples to researchers around the world.

Over the next decade, the Bank will help scientists to identify genetic and environmental causes of MND. Funding is required to ensure the Bank is maintained over this period and able to respond to the needs of the worldwide research community.

Sponsorship of the next phase of the DNA Bank, involving collecting and transferring further DNA samples, would cost £561,000 over three years.
