Projects we fund

The MND Association awards research funding annually under two different schemes: the Project Grants scheme and Studentship scheme. In addition, Programme Grants enable us to provide larger scale funding in a focussed fashion.

Project grants

Funding biomedical, clinical and healthcare research of the highest scientific merit and greatest relevance to MND.

PhD Studentship projects

Attracting promising science graduates to develop a career in MND research.

Creation of a National DNA Bank

The Association's first programme grant, aiming to provide a valuable resource for future research.
