Association Visitor Training
“Pat, my AV, is brilliant. She’s been so helpful, especially at the beginning when I had so many questions. She knows what to do. She takes a lot of pressure off me and the family. I can go to her at any time with anything. She’s like a family friend now.” Dean, who is living with MND.
As you’re aware, our AVs provide vital emotional support as well as information to people with MND and their families. In our recent Improving MND Care Survey, 83% of people with MND who have an AV rated their support as excellent or good. We are continuing to train new volunteers to carry out this role to ensure people with MND can receive this invaluable support.
This project will cost us £40,000 to train 48 new volunteers over the next year.
