Safeguarding

The Association provides services to a wide range of people. We recognise that some of the people we are in contact with are adults and children/young people who may be at risk of harm.

Volunteers and staff are expected to play an important role in promoting the safety and protection of these adults and children who may be at risk.

The aim of this policy is to ensure we act appropriately when we become aware that an adult or child may be at risk of abuse or harm. It also provides a framework which ensures that those involved in the care of adults or children have the appropriate information and support to enable them to take the necessary steps to prevent abuse happening.
