We are delighted to report that a member of the Branch has received a prestigious award. Our Branch Contact, Cyndy Mepham, who will be known at least to those of you who attend the ‘Care and Cared For’ meetings, has, as part of a team working for Rennie Grove Hospice Care, received the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service. This is the highest award given to local volunteer groups across the UK to recognise outstanding work done in their own communities. It was created in 2002 to celebrate the anniversary of The Queen’s coronation.
Rennie Grove Hospice Care is a charity dedicated to providing care and support for patients diagnosed with cancer or other life-limiting illnesses and their families. Every year they provide care and support for over thousands of patients and families through unique 24/7 Hospice at Home Service, Family Support services and a range of Day Services at Grove House.
They offer care to patients and families in a wide catchment area that covers parts of Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire.
Cyndy said: ” This is a huge honour. What is especially gratifying is the fact that the honour is not aimed at one individual but recognises the work of the entire team and that means so much. The success of Rennie Grove is totally dependent on the commitment of that team.”

JustGiving page for donations to the Branch
If you or your family or friends wish to make a donation to the Branch for any reason, you can now do so by means of a JustGiving page that we have set up for that purpose at: www.justgiving.com/southbucksmnda
The page will accept text donations to 70070 using the code MNDA66 as well as by credit card, is completely secure and has the great advantage to our Treasurer that it will automatically claim Gift Aid on donations that qualify, and that increases the amount donated by 25% at no cost to the donor.
Here’s a brief update on our plans over the next few months – further details on each item can be found on the Events page:
