The Group has been running since 1983 with the sole aim of serving all those in the area who are living with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) and their carers, family and friends.
The Group also has a team of trained Association Visitors who offer a befriending role, providing support, information, and an ongoing link with Association to people living with MND.
We can provide practical support in the form of liaison with health and social care professionals, such as speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and the medical profession.
And we can provide specialist equipment to improve the quality of life of all those affected by the disease.
Fundraising and raising awareness are also very important aspects of Group activities, and we organise events throughout the year which are well supported.
Message from the Group Leader
On behalf of the Southampton Group we would like to thank everyone who supports us.
We hope that you will continue to help us to raise money for MND so we can continue to help support the people living with this awful disease.
We look forward to seeing you soon at one of our Group evenings or afternoon teas – you will be made to feel most welcome!
