7 in 7 Challenge
Inspired by Rob Burrow, Doddie Weir, Stephen Darby and the whole MND community, Kevin Sinfield once again attempted an epic challenge last November to raise money to support the fight against MND.
Kevin ran from Edinburgh to Manchester via Melrose, Newcastle, Middlesbrough, York, Leeds and Bradford in seven days running over 60km per day. The challenge finished at Old Trafford at half time in the Rugby League World Cup men’s final. The BBC coverage and support from the public during the challenge was amazing and Kevin raised over £2 million for MND charities! This incredible amount is going to make a huge difference in the fight against MND. #Ultra7in7
7 in 7 : Reloaded
When Kevin completed his first challenge back in 2020, we were overwhelmed by the support of the MND community, with over 400 people taking on their own 7 in 7!
His 2022 challenge was even bigger and better, and yours can be too! Introducing 7 in 7 : Reloaded. Choose your distance and complete seven runs, walks or bike rides' over seven consecutive days. You could run a mile every day, 77 miles over 7 days or 7k a day – it’s your challenge, your choice. Join the team to raise money to support families affected by motor neurone disease and help fund vital research in the fight against MND.
One of the incredible things about the challenges I’ve completed so far, is the way they’ve inspired other people to take on their own challenges. I really hope my next 7 in 7 does the same. It doesn’t matter if you run or walk, do 7 miles or 70. The most important thing is getting involved, to support families affected by MND and fund vital research. While the impact we can make as individuals might be limited, when the MND community gets together we can really make a difference and change the story for people diagnosed with MND in the future.Kevin Sinfield, October 2022
