The difference you could make

"I wanted a challenge that is going to test me physically, mentally and emotionally, because my mom had MND, and I can't imagine how that was for her. She was such a strong woman, never moaned about anything, just cracked on. I just want to do something to honour her life and help others in the process. "

What's the difference between a sponsorship place and a self funded place?

add remove

For a sponsorship place, the participant pays the registration fee directly to the event organisers and then commits to raise a minimum fundraising pledge for the MND Association, of which a certain amount needs to be with us by a specific date as we will then be invoiced for the cost of your challenge by the event organisers. Then the remaining pledge needs to be with us by four weeks after the event.

For a self-funded place, the participant pays the registration fee directly to the event organisers and then raises as much as they can in sponsorship for the MND Association and the MND Association incurs no costs for the place.
