Mark Maddox

Born and bred in Liverpool, it’s hardly surprising that Mark Maddox is passionate about the beautiful game, as a fan, a player and a coach.A Mark Sticker

From trainee at Tranmere Rovers, via sunday league football, Mark joined Altrincham FC in 1996. He would go on to appear more than 300 times for the Robins.

Known for his fully-committed performances at centre half and affectionately called ‘Mad Dog’, Mark enjoyed a playing career spanning two decades.

Retirement saw a move into coaching with Mark achieving the his UEFA 'A' Licence in 2009. Several coaching positions preceded his role as Centre of Excellence Manager at Accrington Stanley.

Mark received the Non League Paper Special Achieved Award in May 2013 in recognition of his incredible efforts to raise funds and awareness of motor neurone disease.
