Latest News

In late August a fully booked golf day took place at Yeovil Golf Club to raise funds for both the South and East Somerset Branch and the South and West Somerset Branch of the MND Association as well as for the Darby Rimmer Foundation. Organised by Phil Park, son of Dave who lives with MND, the day was a huge success with over £6,000 raised in total. Phil did a fantastic job of securing not only the course and players but also bringing together a great many raffle prizes and was supported on the day by a loyal team of Branch volunteers as well as his daughter Lucy. The success of the day was recognised by the Yeovil Press who featured the event on the front page. Thanks everyone for your support it was truly a wonderful day.

Our Branch Chair Adam Marner and Treasurer Vera Budge were delighted to receive a cheque from the Glastonbury Male Voice Choir having been their chosen charity for the year. This final task for Outgoing Chairman Dave Greenwood, marked the end of a very successful Centenary Year.
