MND EnCouRage UK 2026 will take place on 14-15 July at the Burleigh Court Hotel, Loughborough University, Loughborough.
Every year, the MND Association brings together early career researchers (ECRs), senior researchers, clinicians, experts, and the MND community for MND EnCouRage UK. MND EnCouRage is a unique event – helping ECRs who have chosen to research MND to build skills, network and collaborate, and give them the opportunity to share their passion and research with members of the MND community.
ECRs will benefit from inspiring and interactive talks and workshops from experts in research and communication, specifically designed to support them in their career. ECRs will have the chance to present their work in a three minute ‘Lightning Talk.’ They will receive feedback and advice from senior researchers and experts, before presenting their improved talks to the MND community on the second day.
Our new research strategy highlights our commitment to backing the brightest minds throughout their careers – MND EnCouRage does exactly this, giving early career researchers the skills and drive to continue their career in MND research.

Our Venue
MND EnCouRage UK 2026 will be held at the Burleigh Court Hotel, located in the heart of Loughborough University's West Park Campus. Newly refurbished in 2024, Burleigh Court offers modern conference facilities, comfortable guest accommodation and leisure activities.
Complimentary accommodation is available to ECRs and presenters on the 13, 14, 15 July and to people living with and affected by MND on the 14 and 15 July.
Burleigh Court Hotel is close to Junction 23 of the M1 and just 3 miles from Loughborough mainline station (10-minute cab journey). There is plenty of free parking at the hotel, including accessible parking spaces and EV charging bays.
