Quinton Newell
Quinton joined the Association in December 2025 as the Chief Operating Officer, having built a successful 25-year career across publicly funded and research-focused organisations.
Before joining the MND Association Quinton was at the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) Central Commissioning Facility where he was responsible for finance, information systems, governance, assurance and business operations. Prior to working at the NIHR, Quinton spent 14 years at Cancer Research UK.
The Chief Operating Officer is a new role for the Association, to keep everything running smoothly day-to-day, while delivering our strategic ambitions. Quinton looks after Finance, Technology, Facilities and Strategy at the charity, taking the lead on risk management, annual planning, quality improvement, procurement, legal, compliance and assurance.
