Thank you for making a difference.

Welcome to our new Celebration Page - a place to say thank you and celebrate the great things happening across our volunteering network as One Strong Team.

Every act of volunteering matters, from heading up events, to raising funds and awareness, to sharing companionship at support groups, and offering trusted information about the MND Association’s support. Volunteers make every day count

Get involved in the celebration, and take a few minutes to fill out our link below to say 'Thank you!' to volunteers you know deserve a special spotlight.

Joan has been an AV for several years and is the backbone of the service in Northamptonshire. Joan is always willing to share her experience and expertise, both with new and existing AVs and with new starters to the MND Association as she is a regular speaker at Induction Days. Joan supports individuals and is a regular, comforting presence at the support groups. I'd like to say a huge thanks to Joan for all of her dedication and support both to her colleagues and to those with and affected by MND!

Jenny has been an AV and Branch Committee member for a significant number of years, and knows everything there is to know about the Services in Leicestershire and Rutland! Jenny is not only a great support to her AV Colleagues and members of the Branch, but also to the staff at the local Hospice, where Jenny has fabulous relations and is well respected for her knowledge. Jenny is instrumental in arranging and attending the support groups and is a wonderful comfort to those who she visits. I would like to say a huge thank you to Jenny for her passion and dedication throughout the years!

Norman Bolton

Association Visitor and Committee Member, Merseyside (far left of image)

Norman is a new Association Visitor (AV) and has engaged enthusiastically from first joining us, and is willing to support people living with MND in various ways from initial home visits, taking on one to one support and helping at support meetings. He is a great listener, with a great sense of humour, is well organised and conscientious and is willing to get involved in whatever way he can.  He has recently joined the branch committee, and I have no doubt he will make thoughtful and constructive contributions to those meetings. Thank you, Norman!
