Film star Eddie Redmayne OBE thanked his fans today – his 40th birthday (Thurs 6 January) – by making a personal donation to a fundraising page set up to benefit the Motor Neurone Disease Association.

Eddie’s fans, led on social media by @BespokeRedmayne, have created a JustGiving donation page – for the 6th year running – so his well-wishers can celebrate his birthday in a worthwhile way by supporting the Association.

Eddie reciprocated this thoughtful gesture from his fans by giving a significant donation to the page himself, to thank donors and continue his support for the charity.

Eddie has been a Patron of the MND Association since 2015, and is well known to the MND community for his Oscar-winning performance as Professor Stephen Hawking in the film ‘The Theory Of Everything’.  The Association helped introduce Eddie to people living with MND so he understood more about the disease, and also supplied props and set advice.
