Making memories at London Zoo was the theme as we held an unforgettable fun day out for families affected by motor neurone disease (MND).

The event was our largest memory-making day for families with more than 90 people from the London boroughs’ branches and groups attending.

Families explored the wonders of the zoo, from majestic lions to playful penguins, but the real magic happened in the moments between. People of all ages connected with others affected by MND and found comfort in knowing they were not alone.

Free entry and support with transport to the zoo were provided, with children receiving a special goody bag which included a cuddly penguin teddy.

Sonia Chopra, who attended with her extended family, said: "It was an amazing day. We made so many great memories with our dad and our whole family.

"It was truly memorable for us. Thankyou so much for such a wonderful day."

This event was a powerful reminder that connections can be a lifeline and it is part of our ongoing commitment to support children, young people, and families affected by MND.
