We’re saddened to hear Lewis Moody, former England rugby union captain and World Cup winner, has been diagnosed with motor neurone disease (MND).
Our thoughts are with him and his family as they come to terms with the news.
The media coverage may bring back memories for some people about their own diagnosis, or that of a family member. We are here to help.
Motor neurone disease is a progressive disease which affects the nerves taking messages to the muscles, leaving people trapped in a failing body.
