A tutor talking to a student

The Community of Interest is part of the wider Community of Practice and gives students a place to explore best practice, develop skills and build confidence in their chosen fields. This course will introduce you to the needs of people living with and affected by MND, and how to provide care that makes a genuine difference.

Through exploring MND, you will also gain insight into the importance of multidisciplinary teamwork and coordinated care in a rapidly progressive condition that can affect movement, swallowing, communication, breathing and thinking. These principles are valuable for understanding MND and for supporting people with other complex conditions that affect the whole family.
