Experiences of grief, loss and hope in MND

While the physical effects of MND are well recognised, little research has focused on how people living with MND experience emotional issues such as grief, loss and hope.

This study aims to better understand how people living with MND experience and make sense of grief, loss and hope following their diagnosis, and what kinds of psychological support they feel would be helpful.

How will this study help people with and affected by MND now and/or in the future?

The researchers hope that the findings of this study will help to inform future psychological support services for people with MND, improving quality of life.
