Making every day count, together

The Motor Neurone Disease Association was founded in 1979 by a small group of volunteers who knew every day matters. Volunteers continue to commit their time and dedication to make a difference for our community. Here, we celebrate some of our amazing volunteers.

We have created this short form in celebration of Volunteers’ Week 2026, showcasing the amazing year-round impact volunteering has across the MND Association.

Information provided in this form will be shared publicly via our new Volunteer Celebration Page – a place to share thank yous and celebrations from across our whole network on our website.

You might complete this form if you:

  • Are a volunteer, staff member, supporter and/or person affected by MND, and wish to spotlight a special volunteer through a thank you or snippet of success – big or small – as One Strong Team.
  • Wish to share your own volunteering celebration or anecdote – this might be recognising an achievement in volunteering that you have been a part of or showcasing a skill you use in volunteering. Think Big!
  • Know how much impact someone has had through volunteering that deserves a huge thank you – Be Determined!
  • If you have a piece of news or a story to share to help promote your volunteering activities – be it for recruitment, awareness or general promotion – showing how Every Day Matters.

Every Contribution Matters, and so across the MND Association we celebrate volunteer impact year-round.

Please be advised that by submitting this form, you are agreeing that:

  • You consent to being contacted by a member of our team to discuss how we might share your story publicly (social media, newsletter, website, etc.)
  • The information you have provided is accurate and truthful to the best of your knowledge
  • You have obtained the necessary permissions and consent from those referenced within this form to share this information, where applicable
  • Where photos are provided, you and whomever is included in these have provided their explicity consent for their image and likeness to be used and shared in this way

The MND Association will hold and process your data in line with applicable Data Protection Laws and MND Association policies.

Across our whole MND family, we are all extremely grateful for the support of our volunteers and the impact that they make – because all volunteering makes a difference
