Welcome to the Cardiff and Vale of Glamorgan Branch

The branch is run entirely by volunteers and aims to provide the best possible support to local people with MND, their families and carers. 

The Branch covers Cardiff, The Vale of Glamorgan and some of the Rhondda Cynon Taff areas.

We hold regular information and social group meetings for people living with MND and their carers, family and friends which provide an opportunity to meet with other people living with the disease and to share experiences and ideas.

We provide advice and signpost to other services and can provide specialist equipment and access to small grants.

We provide materials and advice on how to fundraise or opportunities to volunteer for us.

Cuppa and Catch Up Sessions 

We hold regular Cuppa and Catch Up Sessions every month.

These are a chance for anyone affected by MND (people living with MND, carers, friends, family, bereaved carers) to come together for an informal cuppa and chat about anything MND related or non MND related. 

Upcoming dates, times and venues are as follows: 

Sat 31st January     11.30-1330 at Fairwater Conservative Club, Ely Road, Cardiff CF5 2BY

Tue 24th February 10.30-13.00 at Radyr Old Church Rooms, Park Road, Radyr, CF15 8DF

Sat 28th March       12.15- 14.15 at The Community Room, Tesco Extra, Western Avenue, Cardiff, CF14 3AT

2025 Christmas Lunch Event 

What a fabulous afternoon we had at our Christmas Lunch on Sunday 30th November at the Village Hotel, Cardiff. Thank you to everyone who supported in some way; we are so grateful to you. It was a perfect way to kick off the festive season, with a beautiful three course meal, entertainment, raffle and   auction' raising a fantastic £4914.35.  

We enjoyed it so much, we'll be doing it all again and we would love it if you could join us, so keep 29th November 2026 free.

 

 

Cardiff Half Marathon October 2025

Spaces are now available for the Cardiff Half Marathon taking place on Sunday 5th October 2025. Registration is £15 with a minimum of £250 sponsorship target. Spaces are limited so please register here
