Welcome to the Exeter and East Devon Branch
We are a volunteer‑run community supporting people and families affected by Motor Neurone Disease (MND) in our area. Everything we do is powered by neighbours helping neighbours, each bringing their own skills, experience and compassion.
What we do
- Provide emotional support, a friendly face, and a listening ear.
- Stay connected through home visits, regular meetings, and virtual catch‑ups.
- Ensure people feel supported, informed, and never isolated.
Raising awareness
- Talk to local groups, schools, and businesses about MND.
- Help the community understand MND.
Fundraising
- Organise events and support others raising vital funds to help provide services, support research and strengthen our work locally.
Campaigning
- Back local and national campaigns for better services, faster support, and a stronger voice for everyone affected by MND.
Our group is built on kindness, teamwork, and the belief that communities can make a real difference. Whether you’re looking for support, information, or ways to get involved, you’re always welcome.
Support Meetings
Exeter MND Support Meeting. The meetings are for anyone living with and affected by MND, they are friendly and informal, with no set agenda, just a great place to come and meet others, talk about things that maybe concerning you, have some questions answered, and hear about the local support available.
Held on the first Friday of every month at Victory Hall, Broadclyst, Exeter 11.30am - 1.00pm
Virtual support meeting. Held on Zoom and for people living with MND in Devon & Cornwall. They are friendly and informal, just come along and chat amongst friends.
Held on the third Wednesday of every month between 11.00am – 12.30pm
If you are interested in joining either or both of the meetings above please contact Jo Campbell and you will be added to the invite list. Email jo.campbell@mndassociation.org or phone 01604 800627
