Events/Fundraising
On Saturday 22nd July 2023 we held a ride on a steam train event at Havenstreet. This was enjoyed by People living with and affected by MND and their families.
Although it was a fairly quiet day, people were very generous and we were delighted to have raised £116.63 for the charity. Thank you to Sarah Simpson, the community champion at Asda in Newport for allowing us to collect in the foyer.
Committee members of the IOW branch of the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association were last night presented with a cheque for £2000 by Vic Mann and Hillary Searle from the Cycle Island Community Interest Company.
Nearly 3000 riders took part in a Randonee on the 30th April which raised a total of £14000 which has been divided amongst various island charities.
The MND branch are extremely grateful to be amongst the chosen charities and say this will really help local people living with MND and their carers.
