This section offers information and guidance on recruiting new volunteers to your branch or group, including role profiles for the different roles.

Recruitment support

There are lots of great ways to recruit new volunteers - be it through word of mouth via existing volunteer and community networks, online and via social media, or even through partnerships and third party platforms like GoVo or local voluntary services.

We are here to help. Make sure to take a look at our template centre where you can create your own social media posts, flyers, leaflets and more.

See below some example resources made using our template centre to help you in getting started when recruiting more volunteers.

All of our local Volunteering Recruitment is done through the fantastic support of our Community Support Co-ordinator ('CSC') and Relationship Fundraiser ('RF') networks.

Across the MND Association, we follow Safer Recruitment processes for all volunteer registrations, which means we request new volunteers to complete and submit a registration form, provide two references, and in some cases undertake a background check (DBS or Access NI, depending on the nature of the role). We are committed to ensuring our volunteers and those we support are safe and supported through all of our activities.
