Team challenges

Spayne Lyndsay

Spayne Lindsey width=The Spayne Lindsey & Co family were touched by MND and in 2017 decided to take on the Samworth Brothers Charity Challenge to raise awareness and fund for the Association. After pledging to raise £4,000 and completing many hours of training both teams crossed the finish line and an amazing total of £43,000 was donated.

B&D Electromedical

“Team NIPPY” – 9 members of staff of B&D Electromedical (manufacturer of the NIPPY Ventilator) conquered the Yorkshire 3 Peaks raising over £6,600! If that wasn’t impressive enough, each of them carried a ventilator or cough machine! Amy Wall said, “Everyday we see the effects MND has on the lives of patients and those around them, and so we are joining in to help fight against this disease and raise awareness in the process”.

The team from B & D went on to conquer the National 3 Peaks Challenge in 2017 raising further support for the Association. One member of the team has also taken up the volunteering role of Association Visitor providing ongoing vital assistance to families living with MND.

Macro 4

Macro 4’s ManCrawl was an epic cycling challenge from Macro 4’s Manchester office, to their UK headquarters in Crawley.

A team of five Macro 4 colleagues (four cyclists and a support van driver) completed an impressive 265 miles over the two days.

Named the ManCrawl to incorporate both Manchester and Crawley offices into the name, you can imagine the hilarity on social media! The team tracked their journey over the weekend enabling donors to see the action as it happened, from loading their bikes into the van, to enjoying a toast at their welcome party in the grounds of Macro 4’s Orangery headquarters.

We’re excited to see what challenge the team come up with for next year!
