The Spayne Lindsey & Co family were touched by MND and in 2017 decided to take on the Samworth Brothers Charity Challenge to raise awareness and fund for the Association. “Team NIPPY” – 9 members of staff of B&D Electromedical (manufacturer of the NIPPY Ventilator) conquered the Yorkshire 3 Peaks raising over £6,600! If that wasn’t impressive enough, each of them carried a ventilator or cough machine! Macro 4’s ManCrawl was an epic cycling challenge from Macro 4’s Manchester office, to their UK headquarters in Crawley.
A team of five Macro 4 colleagues (four cyclists and a support van driver) completed an impressive 265 miles over the two days.
Named the ManCrawl to incorporate both Manchester and Crawley offices into the name, you can imagine the hilarity on social media! The team tracked their journey over the weekend enabling donors to see the action as it happened, from loading their bikes into the van, to enjoying a toast at their welcome party in the grounds of Macro 4’s Orangery headquarters.
We’re excited to see what challenge the team come up with for next year!
43 employees of this HR Consulting and Risk Management firm conquered Kilimanjaro – the highest freestanding mountain in the world, and raised over £90,000!! After several members of staff over the years had been affected by MND, the company nominated us to benefit from their epic challenge. Ali Longman of Towers Watson said: “Of course working to raise funds for a great cause really helped push us onward and upward when the going got tough, as did all the amazing support we received from our Towers Watson colleagues”
