Becoming a Trustee

Richard Coleman and Jan Warren - Trustees

The MND Association's Board of Trustees is a group of volunteers who take overall responsibility and act collectively to govern the organisation.

They are responsible for ensuring the mission and long-term aims of the Association are met. Their role is to take a national perspective to meet the needs of people affected by MND.

Trustees have the ultimate legal responsibility for directing the affairs of a charity, and ensuring that it is solvent, well-run, and meeting the needs for which it was set up.

"The Association was always there for us when we needed them. After my partner's death I felt I needed to be involved." Alun Owen, former Chair of Trustees

Board of Trustees Nominations 2019

To become a trustee you must already be a member of the Association and be nominated and seconded by existing members.

Nominees then stand for election and our members vote from the choices. Those receiving the greatest number of votes fill the vacancies on the Board and are announced at our AGM in the summer.

Nominations for the Board of Trustees are now closed.

AGM Resolutions

Members are welcome to submit a resolution form for consideration by the trustees. These are an important means of guiding the policy of the Association.

Submissions for the 2019 AGM are now closed.

AGM and Annual Conference 2019

The 34th Annual General Meeting (AGM) takes place on Saturday 13 July 2019.
