Welcome to the Volunteer Portal help hub.

We have put together a collection of helpful resources to help guide you through your Portal experience. From quickfire guides to video walkthroughs - there is something for everyone.

If you are a volunteer who was using the old Portal, you will need to re-register your details and create an account on the new Portal.

Commonly-asked questions

Can you mail merge and print labels from the Portal?

Yes you can mail merge from the Portal. Please find the instructions here

You can use labels to print such as Avery labels

I find the consents confusing and am not sure that they are correct for my branch or group.

We have listened to this feedback and our Data Team are working on consents as part of a wider Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system update later this year.

Can I create separate contact lists based on the audience (eg bereaved carers, support groups)?

No, but we are looking at ways of improving our Portal. For example, we have heard that some of you wish to see lists of people who died more than 6 months ago as we can offer a carers grant for up to 12 months post-bereavement. We will consider instances such as this for the next stage of Portal development.

Can we download grants data?

No, but we are looking at ways of improving our Portal and this can be considered at the next stage of Portal development.

When I look at the Portal, I can see people that aren’t part of my branch or group. Is this correct?

Sometimes people do get connected to the wrong branch or group, although this is not always an error. If you have a concern about data in the portal please speak to your CSC in the first instance.
