We are often asked to share our perspective on the issues that shape life for people with motor neurone disease (MND) - from the care they rely on every day to the research that drives progress for tomorrow.

As a leading funder and champion of MND research, we’re committed to understanding the causes of the disease and advancing potential treatments. With that comes a responsibility to our members, and to everyone living with MND, to ensure all research we support is carried out ethically and with care.

We also make sure people with MND receive the highest standard of care and support. We work closely with Government and across health and social care services to make sure their needs are recognised and their voices are heard.

Because of this, we have developed clear positions on many of the key ethical questions affecting MND care and research.

Below, you’ll find links to our current statements on these important issues.
