Examining the factors influencing quality of life in neurological conditions

TONiC is a national study examining the factors that influence quality of life in people with neurological conditions. It is one of the largest studies on quality of life in neurological conditions ever performed in the UK.

The researchers hope that TONiC will have a significant and positive impact on the lives of all people with neurological diseases, including MND, regardless of symptoms, stage of illness, age or social status.

How will this study help people with and affected by MND now and/or in the future?

TONiC will provide information about quality of life of people living with MND, and other neurological conditions. This information will help to guide improvements and changes which will improve quality of life in the future.

The questionnaires will ask you about different aspects of your quality of life, from symptoms you experience, to worries you have and how your condition impacts on your home environment.

Who can take part?

• People living with MND

How can I take part?

People with MND who wish to take part should contact their chosen participating centre, details of which can be found on the TONiC website, or you can contact the study team direct (0151 529 5668/2980) or email tonic@thewaltoncentre.nhs.uk
