The Chiltern branch of the MND Association was founded in 1992 with the sole aim of serving all those in the area who are affected by MND. This includes people with MND, their carers, family and friends.
The Branch has a team of trained Association Visitors who offer a befriending role, providing support, information, and an ongoing link with Association to people living with MND.
‘Living and Giving’
We run informal ‘Living and Giving’ meetings for people living with MND as well as for their carers and family members. If you are a person living with MND or are caring for, or are a family member of someone with the disease, you would be more than welcome to join this group – it is very informal and will give you an opportunity to meet with and chat to others going through the same experience whilst you enjoy a cup of tea and a piece of cake.
Unfortunately due to coronavirus these meetings are currently on hold. We hope to resume them as soon as possible. In the meantime, our Association Visitors are still available to offer support to local people living with MND, their carers and family members.
If you would like any further information, please contact Cyndy Mepham at email@example.com or 07716 667 582.
Fundraising and raising awareness are also very important aspects of Branch activities, and we organise a variety of events throughout the year.
The Branch is run entirely by volunteers and we are always interested in hearing from people who can help with events or who want to get involved with running the Branch.
