This information is for health and social care professionals.

Augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) is an important clinical intervention for many people with MND.

The information on this page is primarily designed for non-AAC specialist health and social care professionals working to support the communication needs of people with MND. This may include speech and language therapists, occupational therapists and rehabilitation engineers, as well as those with a key worker role.

If there are any concerns or problems accessing communication aids, people living with MND, professionals and volunteers should contact our communication aids coordinator.
