Events and fundraising
We raise funds to enable us to provide practical help and information to people with MND, and to fund research that we hope will develop effective alleviating treatment for MND and, one day, find a cure.
We receive no national or local government funding and are entirely reliant on our own fund raising efforts and the generosity of our supporters.
Donate directly to our branch
To donate directly to our branch you can go to our JustGiving page.
When hosting your own event or fundraiser you may choose to set up your own Just Giving page. You can find information on how to do this on our Useful information page.
Our Paddington Collection, scheduled for Thursday 25 June, has been cancelled. We hope to get a further slot later in the year or early next year.
Bushy Park Walk 2020 - Sunday 19 July
The walk is our main fundraiser of the year and is always thoroughly enjoyed by all.
Due to the coronavirus, we are going to hold a virtual walk rather than meeting up in Bushy Park. We do hope you will all participate either as a walker or sponsor and encourage others to support the walk too.
It is more important than ever that we raise funds - both to help people living with MND and to find a cure.
We invite you to walk, jog, or run in your local area such as your garden, neighbouring streets or local park (restrictions permitting). We are suggesting you cover 5 miles, as that is the length of the Bushy Park Walk. But if that is too far for you, do select a distance that you can manage. If you wish to fund-raise in other ways, please feel free to do so. Thank you for all your fantastic efforts, and please share our JustGiving page for the walk.
Some of our past events and fundraisers
The MND Association had the honour of being part of Bart's Choir Charity of the Year in 2018. Together with volunteers from the South London branch we made collections at the choir's wonderful concerts. In total £2,492.30 was raised, and split equally between ourselves and South London. This was a great example of two branches working together on a fundraiser and we'd like to thank Bart's Choir for this fantastic opportunity.
