We regularly hold two types of meetings:
Our Open Meetings offer the chance to meet people with MND, their carers and families, as well as others whose lives are impacted by the disease. This is an opportunity to share experiences and knowledge in a relaxed atmosphere, with those who understand. We also have guest speakers who cover topics relevant to people affected by MND. Refreshments are provided too.
MND can be an isolating disease – these meetings can help to combat that feeling by providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Our Open Meetings are held quarterly, on Sunday afternoons from 3 - 5pm. We usually meet at St Paul’s Church in Brentford but because of Covid-19 these meetings are currently being held virtually. To find out more, and to receive joining instructions please contact our Branch Chair, Kapish Narda.
Next Meeting: Sunday 7 March (AGM)
Upcoming meetings in 2021:
We also have smaller support groups for people living with MND and their carers. There are currently two groups:
- The West London Support Group for people living with MND. This is a monthly support group offering an opportunity for those living with MND to share their thoughts and ideas, seek support or just have a friendly chat.
The next meeting is on Tuesday 16 March from 11-12am. Future meetings will be held on the 3rd Tuesday of the month. That is: 20 April and 18th May.
- The Pan London Group for Carers of people living with MND. This group offers similar support, focusing on carers. These meetings take place on the first Tuesday of the month at 11am. The next is on Tuesday 2 March.
All support group meetings are currently being held online. To find out more, and receive joining instructions, please contact Lisa Burnard.
